In my time as a freelance writer, I've written about a thousand query letters. I've gotten 995 outright rejections (or the agents have simply ignored me). While that may seem bleak, remember that it "only takes one yes." 

Today is already off to a pretty hectic start, but I want to focus this week on one of the most important parts of the publishing process: The Query Letter. Since I'm otherwise distracted this morning, I thought it best to let the experts take the lead, and we can pick up on the practical this Thursday.
